Manes for Mason

Manes for Mason is an event being held in memory of my son, Mason w th, 2009 from a very rare, very aggressive form of paediatric cancer.

 

Mason was diagnosed when he was 4 months old and was almost 8 months old when he got his Angel wings. He lived his far too short life with so much bravery, courage and laughter.  Mason is a true hero and an inspiration.

 

In honour of  my little hero Mason & what should be his 3rd birthday, I will be cutting my hair and donating it to have wigs made for children who have lost their hair because of cancer or other illnesses/medical

 

I INVITE YOU TO JOIN ME AND CUT YOUR HAIR TO DONATE ALSO! IT’S ONLY HAIR & YOURS WILL GROW BACK BEFORE YOU KNOW IT!

 

Even if you can’t donate your hair, you can still join us for a yummy bake sale, raffles, draws and more!

REQUIREMENTS FOR HAIR DONATION

 

Donated hair to be used for the wigs must be a minimum of 8 -10 inches long (measure hair from just above the elastic band of the ponytail to the ends).

• Wavy/curly hair texture is fine—you may straighten hair to measure.
• Hair should be freshly washed and completely dry, without any styling products.
• Hair may be coloured but cannot be bleached.
• Grey hair and hair that is not quite 8” can still be donated (must be a minimum of 6”)**
