Home Care

Taking special care of your lengthened hair when you can't make it to the Mane Society Salon. This is something everybody with long hair needs to do. Just follow these easy to do steps.

• Before going to bed, it is recommended if you have long strands, that you pull it back with a soft scrunchy or braid it to prevent the hair from getting tangled. In the morning, slightly unravel the braid or the loosen the tail with your fingers. Brush with the recommended brush from the nape up. A wide tooth comb may be used to remove tangles from the ends of the hair however, do not use a comb from the scalp down to the bond.
• Do not shampoo for 2 days. You should not wash your hair with your head face down. Always tilt your head back and foam hair from the top to the bottom. Never dry with a scrubbing action; wrap with a towel to absorb the water.
• You must use recommended products. Do not use products that contain sulfur such as dandruff shampoos.
• Two weeks after applying an extension, return to the salon to have a check-up.

Some bonds may get a little tangled if you do not brush your hair daily. The natural fallout of your may cause a little tangle between two bonds, if this happens, make an appointment with your salon to have it removed.

It is natural to lose a few strands due to natural fallout. You can return and have a few strands added, if necessary.

Removal can be completed by the salon at $50 per hour.
